DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS FOR 2025
Introduction
Middle Park Football Club (soccer) seeks nominations from suitably qualified people for election to fill the nine Director positions at its AGM on Wednesday 27 November 2024. As a volunteer run club, the vacancies are an opportunity to make a positive impact on MPFC. Furthermore, no prior experience is required to nominate, just a can-do attitude. Please refer to details below and the MPFC Director Role Description.
Criteria
The criteria for these Directorship positions is as follows:
Attend quarterly director meetings (online or in person)
Contribute to and deliver MPFC strategy
Uphold MPFC constitution
Adhere to the MPFC Directors Code of Conduct.
Additional information
In 2025 there will be nine vacancies on the Directorship according to the rotation prescribed by the MPFC constitution.
The MPFC Directorship comprises nine elected directors.
There will be up to 9 Director vacancies for MPFC in 2025 in accordance with the rotation prescribed by the MPFC Constitution. These vacancies include:
President
Secretary
Treasurer
Up to 3 Junior Directors
Up to 3 Senior Directors
The nine director incumbents whose terms expire at the 2024 AGM are all entitled to stand for re-election.
There are at least 4 Director Meetings per year held quarterly at times to be confirmed.
In setting the above criteria, the MPFC Directorship, has considered:

MPFC good governance principles which include the need for a skills-based Directorship.
The Directorship’s self-assessment of its skills and performance.

MPFC is committed to providing a child safe environment within our sport. Successful nominees will be required to hold a Working with Children Check and adhere to the Football Victoria behavioural code of conduct along the MPFC constitution and Directorship Code of Conduct.
Successful nominees will also be required to arrange to hold a Director Identification Number (Director ID) - a requirement from the Australian Government.
In accordance with the MPFC constitution, the voting members at MPFC AGMs must be fully paid members without debt, life members or volunteer officials. NOTE: Partially paid and ex-members are not entitled to vote.
Instructions on how to nominate
1. Nominations for the above positions close on Wednesday 20 November 2024 and should be submitted via email to: mpfc.director.nominations@gmail.com
2. Nomination must be accompanied by a signed Director Nomination Form, which should include:
· A summary of why you would like to nominate (max 200 words)
· Relevant experience/qualifications
3. Nominees’ summaries will be circulated to all MPFC members prior to the AGM on Wednesday 27 November 2024. Applicants will be given the opportunity to make a five-minute presentation to the members prior to voting.
4. In accordance with the MPFC Nominations Committee Terms of Reference, this circulated information will be accompanied by a report from the Nominations Committee as to the extent to which each candidate meets the criteria above.
5. At its discretion, the Nominations Committee may conduct candidate interviews before preparing each report. Any interviews will take place in the week starting Monday 18 November 2024.
6. Applicants who proceed to election will be required to sign the MPFC Director Code of Conduct prior to the vote taking place.
